The College of Social and Behavioral Sciences is committed to assisting our faculty, student organizations, and academic units in enhancing intellectual life at the University of Arizona and in making southern Arizona a better place for all of us. For this reason, we welcome requests for financial support from those in the college who are engaged in such efforts.
In your SBS Support Fund request, we ask that you tell us, in 250 words, what your goals are for this funding, the amount requested, and what other sources of funding or in-kind support you have solicited or secured. Please attach a budget. You are also encouraged to attach promotional or other informational materials.
Requests are prioritized to support student outcomes and interdisciplinary activities. Projects guided by the values of justice, diversity, equity and inclusion are particularly welcome, as are those efforts that align with University and SBS strategic plans.
Please refer to the table below for guidance on amounts available for a given project
Speaker Honorarium | Travel--domestic* | Travel--international* | Workshop--faculty | Workshop--students | General conference/reception support |

Joining me in each review and decision will be one or more relevant SBS associate/assistant deans. We promise to review your requests in a timely manner.
You will receive an email notification of our decision. If funded, we require a one-page report about the campus and/or community impact of your programming once undertaken.
Best of luck and thank you, as always, for the energy and vision you bring to the college and your units.
Sincerely,
Lori Poloni-Staudinger, PhD (she, her, hers)
